Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Mortgage AI ("Mortgage AI," "we," "us") collects through the MAI Business Funding app and related web pages (together, the "App"), how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. The company that operates Mortgage AI is being registered in the United States; we will name it here as soon as registration is complete.
The short version
- The App is for business funding requests only. It is not for personal, family, or household needs.
- Mortgage AI is not a lender. We do not make loans, check your credit, or decide who receives funding.
- When you send a request, we share it with one licensed funding partner so they can contact you. We do not sell your information to lead lists or resell it.
- We do not use analytics or advertising tools, and the App has no ads.
- You can ask us to delete your information by emailing mortgageloneai@gmail.com. We keep records of your consent as proof, as explained below.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us in a funding request
- Business details: business name, industry, US state, time in business (range), monthly revenue (range), amount needed (range), and how you plan to use the funds.
- Contact details: your full name, email address, and phone number.
- Your preferred language (English, Spanish, French, Arabic, or Hebrew).
- Your answers to two required checkboxes: (1) that your request is for business purposes, and (2) that you agree to be contacted as described in section 4.
Consent record
When you submit a request, we save a record of your consent. It includes the version of the consent text and the exact text shown to you, the date and time, your IP address, your browser or device user agent (a short technical description of the browser and operating system), and the address of the page where you submitted the form.
When you track a request
If you use "track my request," you enter your reference number and email address. We use them only to find your request and show its status (new, contacted, collecting documents, submitted to a funder, funded, or declined). Tracking does not display your other details.
Security information
We use your IP address, in hashed (scrambled) form, to limit repeated submissions and to block spam and abuse.
Information from our funding partner
The funding partner assigned to your request may update its status and add notes about its contact with you. We also keep an internal log of changes made to each request (an audit log).
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for your Social Security number, bank account details, or credit report, and we do not check your credit.
- The App does not let you upload documents. If the funding partner asks you for documents, you provide them to the partner directly, and the partner's own privacy policy applies.
- The App does not access your device's location, contacts, photos, camera, or microphone.
- The App does not use analytics tools, advertising tools, or advertising identifiers, and it does not show ads.
- The App has no user accounts or passwords.
2. How we use information
- To receive your funding request and send it to the funding partner assigned to it.
- So that we and the funding partner can contact you about your request, as you agreed.
- To show you the status of your request when you track it.
- To keep proof that your request was for business purposes and that you agreed to be contacted.
- To prevent spam, fraud, and abuse, and to keep the App secure.
- To respond to your questions and privacy requests.
- To comply with the law and to protect our rights and the rights of others.
We do not use your information to build advertising profiles, and we do not use it to make automated decisions about whether you receive funding. Funding decisions are made by the funding partner or the funders it works with, not by Mortgage AI.
3. Who we share information with
One licensed funding partner, at your request
When you submit a request, we send your request details (business details, contact details, and preferred language) to one licensed funding partner assigned to your request, so it can contact you about funding for your business. We will list the partner's name, website and licensing here once the partnership is signed. Until then, requests are stored by Mortgage AI and are not shared with anyone. The partner presents any funding options directly to you and handles your information under its own privacy policy.
If your business receives funding, the partner may pay Mortgage AI a referral fee. This does not change what information we share or who we share it with. We send each request to one partner only.
Service providers
We use service providers that process information for us, on our instructions, to run the App:
- Cloudflare, for hosting, our database, and network security. Our request database is stored in the United States.
Legal and safety reasons
We may disclose information if the law requires it, to respond to valid legal process, to prevent fraud or abuse, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of you, us, or others.
Business transfers
If Mortgage AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. This policy will continue to apply to information transferred.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your information to data brokers or lead lists, and we do not resell it.
- We do not send your request to more than one funding partner.
- We do not share your information with advertisers or for targeted advertising.
4. Consent to be contacted and how to opt out
Before you submit a request, you check a box agreeing that Mortgage AI and its licensed funding partner may contact you at the phone number and email address you provided, by phone call, text message, or email, including by automated technology, about your funding request. The App shows you the exact wording before you agree, and we save a copy of that wording with your consent record.
- Your consent is not a condition of any purchase.
- Message and data rates may apply to text messages.
- To stop text messages, reply STOP to any text you receive.
- To stop calls, tell the caller you do not want to be called again.
- To stop emails, use the unsubscribe instructions in the email or reply asking us to stop.
- You can also opt out at any time by emailing mortgageloneai@gmail.com. We will pass your opt-out to the funding partner.
Opting out of calls and texts does not delete your request. To ask for deletion, see section 7.
5. How long we keep information
- Request details, partner status updates, notes, and the audit log: while your request is open and for 24 months after it closes, unless you ask us to delete them sooner (see section 7) or we need to keep them for a legal reason.
- Consent records (including the consent text, date and time, IP address, user agent, and page address, plus the name, phone number, and email address the consent applies to): for as long as we may need them to show that you agreed to be contacted. We currently expect to keep them for at least four years after the later of the date you gave consent or our last contact with you, because four years is the federal limitations period that generally applies to claims under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. We may keep them longer if the law requires it or if a claim or dispute is pending.
- Hashed IP addresses used for rate limiting: up to 2 days.
- After we delete information, copies may remain in our database backups for a short period until those backups expire.
6. Security and where data is stored
All information sent between the App and our servers is encrypted in transit using HTTPS. Access to request data is limited to Mortgage AI personnel and the funding partner assigned to the request. IP addresses used for rate limiting are stored in hashed form. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The App is intended for businesses in the United States. Our request database is hosted by Cloudflare in the United States.
7. Your choices and deletion requests
You can ask us to:
- tell you what information we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct information that is wrong;
- delete your information; or
- stop contacting you (see section 4).
To make a request, email mortgageloneai@gmail.com from the email address you used in your funding request, and include your reference number if you have it. We may ask for more information to confirm the request comes from you. We will respond within the time the law requires, and in any case we aim to respond within 45 days.
When you ask us to delete your information, we will delete your request details from our systems and ask the funding partner to delete the information we sent it. Some information may not be deleted:
- We keep your consent record, and the contact details it applies to, for the period described in section 5, because it is our proof that you agreed to be contacted. We also keep a note of your opt-out, so that you are not contacted again.
- The funding partner may have its own legal obligations to keep certain records. Its privacy policy explains those.
- We may keep information when the law requires it or when it is needed for a legal claim.
8. California residents
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended) may give you the following rights, subject to legal exceptions:
- the right to know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose, and to receive a copy;
- the right to delete personal information;
- the right to correct inaccurate personal information;
- the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined in that law); and
- the right not to be treated differently for using these rights.
We collect the following categories of personal information: identifiers (name, email address, phone number, IP address, request reference number); commercial and business information about your business and its funding needs; and internet activity information (browser user agent and the page where you submitted the form). We disclose them for the business purposes and to the recipients described in section 3. We disclose request details to the funding partner because you direct us to do so when you submit your request. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.
To use these rights, email mortgageloneai@gmail.com. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of authorization and ask you to confirm your identity. If you are not in California, you can still send us a request, and we will respond as the law where you live requires.
9. Children
The App is only for adults who are 18 or older and who are requesting funding for a business. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a person under 18 has given us information, email us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new version on this page and change the effective date above. If we make a material change to how we use or share information you already gave us, we will tell you before the change applies to that information, for example by email or by a notice in the App.
